About Rachel

Hi! 🙂   My name is Rachel Pearson and  I am a homeschooling mommy of 2. They are actually 2 of the most gorgeous and smart children in the world by the way.  I’m also a wife of 1 amazing man who has my heart completely!  I am blessed, but my life has not been without loss or without pain!  I come from a broken home.  My parents divorced when I was 12 years old.  5 short years later my mom died of heart disease when I was just 17 years and 3 days old! Between all that, there was more loss, more death of family, a bout with bulimia and anorexia, depression, fear, and anxiety.  There have also been amazing wonderful life events that were celebrated without my mom by my side. There have been dreams that have been put aside.  Sentences left with only a comma so that I can do what needs to be done today, focus on the ones who matter most.

Through it all, God has blessed me.  I have found that there is hope through Him alone.  He holds me when I need to be held and puts me in my place when I need to grow.  He is faithful and He is my rock!  Today, our home is loud and messy.  I don’t mean the “messy” that people use to describe their life (which annoys me by the way), but truly messy!  We have school books, toys, laundry, dishes, and bikes everywhere, and I wouldn’t change a thing because it means we live here.  We yell, we fight, we laugh, we hug, and we tickle. We enjoy life… together!

I believe that in all things there is a lesson to be learned.  There is room to grow.  God does not “put things on you” and the devil is not “after you” per say.  Life happens.  We live, we fall, we get back up, we hurt, we laugh, we go through times when everything seems to fall apart and other times when we are so completely put together life seems like a fairy tale.  No matter, what I go through in life, I know my God is with me.  I know that He has a purpose and a plan and as long as I stick with Him, I’m safe and blessed!  I know that He will never leave me or forsake me and I know that He has nothing but good stuff for me.  So, I press on and I learn and I share with you.  I love learning through life,  through my life and through the lives of others. I hope you enjoy Wise Little Nuggets!  ~Rachel
