I don’t like to judge my day because I truly believe everyday is a gift from God no matter what happens, but… yesterday. From 11:30am to the time I laid my head down was just pretty crappy! So many things happened including losing my 100 yr old engagement ring. Thankfully Bradley found it, after we all looked for hours, in the pile of laundry 👶.
As I awakened today and took in my first deep breath, I was reminded that today is a new day, new breath to breathe, new heart beats, and a new “to do” list. I’m reminded how perfect life is even in the mess especially when I look at my kiddos and my hubby. When I see this little angel, whom we prayed for 7 years sleeping with dirty little feet, my heart sings. Life is just 😍 beautiful!
Yesterday in my YIN Yoga class I read these words…
When my master and I were walking in the rain, he would say, “Don’t walk so fast, the rain is everywhere” – Shunryu Suzuki
Do not walk so fast. The pain you wish to escape is everywhere. Do not walk so fast. The grace you seek is everywhere.” – Meditations from the Mat
God’s grace runs deep ya’ll, and even though you may not realize it, that very same grace carries you through the toughest days when you believe. He cares about the big things… and He cares about the small things.
My advice to you today is to make sure you are giving yourself and others that same grace.
In all the imperfections and all the mess and all the goodness and all the laughs… Enjoy the rain, it’s everywhere.
