I’m reposting within this article today. It’s timely… it was timely when it was written several weeks ago, but again, it is timely now. The answer is Jesus and the answer is #alllivesmatter. Stop allowing satan to segregate us again. I so much wish that this could be shared a million times and read twice that, and I wish so much that we could all understand that #blacklivesmatter and any hashtag resembling that remark for any ethnicity at all, is segregation. I wish that these simple words written today and tagged from a few weeks ago would change the world in an instant. But alas, wishes don’t come true. My words won’t help, but Jesus can. He is the answer.
Jesus died for #alllivesmatter. Period. If we as the body of believers could get ahold of that truth, we could change the world. There is no “well, not for that person” or “not for that race” or “not for that cop”, He died for ALL. We could change the world better than any country leader, any picket line, any parade, any billboard, or any movement if we could understand the depth and magnitude of this truth. Jesus died for #alllivesmatter. And Yes! This that’s happening in the world today, is absolutely about that. This is exactly about that. We have tried it other ways and other ways arent’ working. Jesus is the answer. We are in a warfare that can only be fought with prayer and the Word of God.
Our country has removed Bibles from schools, Jesus is not in our homes, we make selfish decisions that lead to everything being about us. We shut the world out unless we want something. We hate cops but demand they stay to protect us then we shoot them. We retaliate with words. We blog about it. We know and share too much information on social media. We demand privacy but have none and don’t respect ourselves to make time for it. We want for free without working, we want to be known as something special yet we want to give nothing for it. Our nation lives for itself, yet it wants equality, yet it forms these segregated hashtags and movements and parades. And yes. Undeniably, I am a straight white woman. I have no experience as any other. But, I love you. I love you. I have given myself to service in Christ and I give to those in need because I love you, ALL and I see you as Christ sees you, ALL. Precious! So, cast your judgements aside as me being of a white ethnicity and me being privileged and please keep reading.
We are divided.
What if… What if we could live by these words?
I Corinthians 13:4-8Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
I Corinthians 13 is a chapter in the Bible I have written about over and over again and will continue to write about. It is our family scripture. It’s on walls in vinyl, it’s my go to scripture when we aren’t living it, I have read to the kids and their cousins over and over again. I read it over and over again. Why? Because change starts with me. Change starts with you.
MAN!!! If we could get ahold of THIS! Don’t be deceived by the things of this world. Run to Jesus! Live out LOVE! Continue reading: Tolerance & Hate ~Rachel
