We had to miss church today because Bradley wasn’t released by the Dr. to be around people until tomorrow. (Greenhouse, you’re welcome) 🙂 I didn’t want to miss, but in the missing, the Lord gave me the chance to minister to a friend who needed to talk. I felt the Holy Spirit when we prayed and I hope she did too. Afterwards, I went straight to the Word. It’s so very important to go straight to the Word after a session like we had, for both of us. This is where the Lord took me after that.
Psalm 34:15 – 17 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.
Praise God. He sees you. He hears you. He knows you. He loves you. He is with you. He is your deliverer. He’s on your side!
10 times out of 10 our problems are way bigger than we are. So, we have to give them to the one who can handle them. He knows the answers. He has a plan. He is faithful. So we should run to Him. Fear, worry, confusion, and doubt are all of the enemy. Anything that does not line up with Jesus and the way He lived His life on earth is of the enemy. God is faithful and just. He is gentle and kind. He is love. Love is not puffed up, love is not rude, love is not envious, love does not hurt, love is good and He is love.
Psalm 85:8-10 I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly.
Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed.
When we decide to give our problems fully to the Lord, we also have to make the decision in that moment, that we will be obedient to His voice. We have to make the choice to follow Him where He leads and not to pick our worries back up. We have to choose not to go our own way, not to go backwards or walk in circles, but to follow Him on His straight and perfect path. Rest assured that your mind will not want to cooperate at first. When this happens, you must go directly to the Word of God. Feed your spirit with truth and meditate on the Word day and night.
He is faithful.
We have to trust that when He said He would never leave us or forsake us, He meant what He said. Do not turn back to folly. Press forward and follow the King of Kings wherever He leads every single day. When you do this, when you follow Him and let Him make the plans, and you go and abandon all your fears, mercy and truth will meet and righteousness and peace will kiss.
What an amazing promise!
Think about it. When we follow Jesus, mercy and truth will meet. He will give us mercy. We will walk in HIS TRUTH! We will know what’s right and what’s wrong and everything will make sense and confusion will be gone. When we follow Jesus and walk in His plan righteousness and peace will kiss. Righteousness is holiness, living for God in His purest form. Peace is freedom from fear, from distress, from worry, from war. What’s the war? The war is your problem. The war is all the mess that goes on in your mind. The war is Satan coming to steal, kill, and destroy.
The question is, what do you want? Do you want to remain where you are walking in circles or do you want the promised land? The answer is always Jesus. Be diligent to pray, read the bible, write scriptures down and tuck them away in places you’ll find them all day. Keep reminding yourself of the scriptures you’re standing on. Lip service won’t save you. Living for Jesus and in Him and with Him will.
Father, I thank you for your promises! You are faithful. You have promised me peace, righteousness, mercy, and truth, and today I receive those promises. I lay down my cross so you can have it. Take it from me Lord. It’s too much for me to bear. I’m tired, I’m weary, I’m heavy burdened, and I can’t do this anymore. Take it. I give it to you once and for all. I thank you for showing me grace and mercy and always being here with me. I love you Jesus. Amen.
