For the Weary & Burdened

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

I was touched the other day by a search that lead someone to Wise Little Nuggets.  I have no idea who searched or what is happening in this person’s life.  The search simply said “Jesus I need You” and our lovely internet services entwined when Wise Little Nuggets popped up for this person to read.  That day was the day I wrote HELP!!! , it was January 5th.  I teared up and told Clay that I hope my blog was good enough.  I hope that whatever this person is going through, they found their answer on Wise Little Nuggets that day.

I’m tearing up again.

To think that my words could really change a person’s life means  everything to me.  But, this also helped me realize that people are hurting.  People are hurting all over this world.  Maybe you’re one of them.  Maybe you’ve been hurt by others or maybe you’ve been the cause of the hurt.  It doesn’t matter.  Do you hear me?  It doesn’t matter.

God’s grace is sufficient.

A lot of things have happened to me in my life to hurt me, mostly words from people I love, and yet I know that God’s grace is for each one of them just like his grace is for me.  We all make mistakes but when we run to Jesus we can take heart and have hope that we are exactly where we need to be.  We are covered.  We are forgiven.  We are loved.

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Everyday… Every. Single. Day.  I will point you back to Jesus.  Life is hard and if we don’t have a rock to stand upon then we’ll die in sinking sand.  If you are weary, Run. To. Jesus.  Allow Him to take your heavy burdens.  He will give you rest.  Suicide is not an option.  Lying in bed depressed with the curtains drawn is unfair to yourself and to those who love you and need you.  YOU are here for a GREAT purpose!  You. Are. Loved.! You are not forgotten.  I don’t care if you’re living on the streets, YOU are not forgotten.  The King of Kings loves you and he invites you in today.

You are beautiful just the way you are.

You are good enough.

You are special.

There’s nothing you need to do except give it all to Jesus.  As I’ve said before, He never promises anything to be easy, but He has promised that He will never leave you or forsake you.  He is with you right now as you’re reading this and He’s not going anywhere.  Besides that, the road traveled without Him is way harder than the road traveled with Him.

Jeremiah 1:5  says “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

He knew you before you were even formed in your mother’s womb.  He knew you then and He knows you now. He is the creator of this great big world we live in and He knows YOU and He loves YOU.  This is amazing!!! Don’t. Give. Up.!  Don’t ever give up.

Cry out to Him today, “I need you Jesus!”, and make a fresh new start in Him.

Father, I need you more today than I’ve ever needed you.  I know now that you are my rock and you are the only one who will never leave me.  You are constant.  You are with me now.  I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins.  I receive you in my life now.  Take control because I’m weary and heavy burdened and I can’t be in control any longer.  Give me peace.  Give me comfort.  I know YOU are the answer, so I will follow you wherever you lead.  Make a way for me where there seems to be no way. Give me rest in you Jesus.  I love you, amen.

Come to me all who are weary
